Guide to using Mothoq from registration and verification to transactions, disputes, and wallet.

Quick start

  1. Create an account with email and a strong password Create an account
  2. Complete the OTP sent to your email
  3. Enter phone, date of birth, and national ID
  4. Upload ID front, back, and face photo
  5. Wait for admin approval then start escrow transactions

Create a transaction

From the dashboard, then Transactions:

  • Enter the verified seller's email
  • Set the amount in SAR
  • Pay from your wallet; funds are held by the platform
  • Track status through delivery and confirmation

Detailed answers

What are transaction statuses?
Pending: Transaction created, not yet paid.
Paid or held: Funds held by the platform.
Delivered: Seller delivered and submitted proof.
Completed: Buyer confirmed; funds released to seller.
Dispute: Open dispute; funds frozen.
Cancelled or refunded: Transaction cancelled or amount refunded.
How do I top up my wallet?
Transaction amounts are deducted from available balance when you pay as buyer. Bank transfer or the approved payment gateway tops up balance per platform settings.
How do I open a dispute?
On the transaction details page, open a dispute, explain the issue, and upload evidence such as photos and screenshots. Funds are frozen until admin decides.
Why can't I complete transactions?
Escrow requires approved identity verification. Check your status on the verification page. If rejected, review the reason and resubmit.
What is the difference between available and held balance?
Available: Use for new transactions or withdraw when enabled.
Held: Locked in active escrow until completion or dispute decision.
Can I chat with the other party?
Yes, via transaction chat. Records are kept and used in dispute review.
